おむつを外すトイレトレーニングができると、子育てもすごくラクになりますよね。
英語でおむつを外すは「toilet-train」で、欧米では親が積極的にオムツ外しをするよりも、自然にまかせて子供がおむつをやめたいと思う時期まで待つケースが多いようです。
子供との日常会話では、おしっこはpeeやpee-pee、うんちはdoo、doo-dooと言います。
ハワイの白人の友達は、おしっこをshee-sheeと言っていました。
日本からのハワイ移住が多かった時代、子供におしっこさせるときに「しー、しー」と言っていたのが、現地の言葉になったそうです。
